Guess what??!! Today is my birthday!!! Yay!! The timing is perfect to share one of my absolute favorite pieces thus far! We buy a lot of nice clothes right? But every now and then we’ll come across something really special. That’s how I feel about this Off the Shoulder Chambray Dress from Eloquii.
Now I have to be honest, when this first arrived I thought I was going to send it back. Initially I didn’t think it would work for me because I felt like it was too much fabric. I’m a big girl and I don’t like a lot of fabric hanging or draping from my body because it can make me look larger. Not only that but this was the first off-the-shoulder piece that I’ve purchased. That part wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! After trying it on a few times and taking pics in my full length mirror I really fell in love with this dress. Although it seemed like a lot of fabric at first, it’s really lightweight! And as you can see, it fits my body perfectly without adding anything extra!
Special pieces deserve to be shot in special locations, so I went to my favorite gardens to shoot this, Duke Gardens. If you’re ever in the Durham area you have to visit these gardens. They are full of colorful, unique flowers, as well as beautiful gazebos and fountains. There’s even a couple of ponds and plenty of places to picnic with the family.
I accessorized this look with a statement necklace from Ashley Stewart and a beach hat from Amazon. I decided to ditch the shoes and go barefoot in the gardens. I hope you love this look as much as I do! Ask any question about it below, or comment to let me know what you think! Til next time!
